Design for good
Good for nothing
I joined with teams of professionals from around the world and local experts in Phnom Penh, Cambodia to solve meaningful social problems for local organisations. The focus of the GFN Challenge was to boost and catalyse the resources of charitable organisations to tackle key issues/opportunities so local teams can continue to sustain the solution. The GFN Challenge facilitated a 2-way exchange of experience, knowledge and ideas between international and local participants.

“Tamarin was the sole design resource on a brand and website redevelopment in a volunteer project in Cambodia. Despite short time-frames and multiple obstacles she was professional, cheerful and helpful throughout the project. Her work was fantastic and even provided some additional support once back in New Zealand.”
17 Triggers
During my short time in Cambodia I worked collaboratively with 17Triggers, a Marketing Agency For Good, and the National Blood Transfusion Centre in Phnom Penh.
Our task was to better understand existing and future donors perceptions and experience of donating blood and to then use that information to improve the service delivery.
This included intensive user research such as contextual inquiry, user observations and interviews, role-play, shadowing and field visits.
